Diabetes

When your body doesn't make enough insulin, or when the insulin you do make doesn't work as well as it should, you have diabetes. When you have diabetes, you must do the work your body used to do automatically to keep the insulin/glucose balance.

There are different kinds of diabetes, but the most common are Type 1 and Type 2.

Diabetes affects about 16 million people in the United States alone; it is estimated that a third of them don't know they have it.  Take this simple risk assessment to see if you might be one of them.
